[Case Analysis] Practical Application of TPE Material ZN60-DP in Gaskets


I. Product Overview

The ZN60-DP is a new product developed using TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material, characterized by rapid molding and a pleasant tactile feel. II. Physical Properties

The ZN60-DP exhibits excellent physical properties, with the following specific characteristics:

  1. High liquidity The material exhibits good flowability during injection molding, which facilitates rapid mold filling and enhances production efficiency.
  2. High weather resistance It exhibits excellent weathering resistance and can maintain stable physical and chemical properties even in a variety of harsh environments.
  3. Formability It can be injection-molded at 200℃ and is suitable for a variety of molding processes, meeting diverse production needs.
  4. Gripability It exhibits excellent encapsulation performance with PP (polypropylene) material, facilitating the composite application of various materials.

III. Application Cases

Customer needs

The customer’s product is a circular gasket that requires individual molding, multiple pieces per mold, excellent molding performance, and cost-effective materials. As a common industrial component, gaskets are widely used in various types of machinery and equipment. Traditional gasket materials have numerous shortcomings in terms of molding speed and cost-effectiveness, making it difficult for them to meet the demands of modern industrial production for speed and efficiency. Therefore, the customer urgently needs a new material to replace the conventional gasket materials, thereby improving production efficiency and product quality.

Import process

  1. Requirements Analysis First, we conducted an in-depth understanding of the customer’s specific requirements, including the gasket’s shape, dimensions, quantity, and molding specifications.
  2. Material Recommendations Based on customer requirements, we recommended conducting a comparative test between two materials: ZR60 and ZN60-DP. Both materials demonstrate excellent performance in terms of flowability, weather resistance, and moldability, making them well-suited for gasket molding.
  3. Test sample testing We provided the customer with samples of two materials and conducted actual injection molding tests. The test results showed that ZN60-DP outperformed ZR60 in terms of molding speed and material utilization, successfully meeting all of the customer’s requirements.
  4. Mass production After confirming that the ZN60-DP meets the customer’s requirements, we provided the customer with mass production services and ensured the consistency and stability of product quality.

IV. Summary
