TPE Elastic Particles: Advantages and Applications in Artificial Turf

As a filling material for artificial turf, eco-friendly TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) elastic particles not only provide a softer, shock-absorbing sports surface that reduces the risk of injury for athletes but also offer superior sports performance comparable to top-grade natural lawns.

TPE particles are free from any volatile odors, truly achieving zero odor, which aligns with the development of healthy sports today.

Based on customer requirements and market demands, TPE provides high-quality thermoplastic elastomers with different properties and types in a "tailor-made" manner, featuring the following characteristics:

1. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic, easy to color, with no toxicity or radiation.
2. Good elasticity, impact resistance, softness, anti-slip properties, and excellent retraction retention.
3. Strict material selection ensures each particle is plump and free from dust generation.
4. No harm to the human body or the environment, complying with EU RoHS and other environmental regulations.

There are three main reasons for adding TPE particles to artificial turf in football fields:

1. Since the turf is made of polymer drawn filaments, quartz sand or TPE particles are needed to hold down the grass filaments and stabilize the turf. Generally, quartz sand is used in the lower layer, and TPE particles in the upper layer.
2. Artificial turf for football fields lacks soil, which means greater impact force on the human body during collisions or falls, increasing the risk of injury. Adding highly elastic TPE particles can effectively simulate the feel of soil and prevent injuries caused by collisions with the ground.
3. The surface of polymer drawn filaments is much smoother than real turf, especially when it rains. Adding rubber particles can provide greater friction and improve the usability of the turf.
