  3. Low liquidity The low fluidity characteristic enables better control over the shape and dimensions of the material during extrusion molding, ensuring the precision and quality of the final product.
  4. Formability This material can be extruded and molded within a temperature range of 155–160℃, meeting the requirements for products of various shapes and sizes.
  5. Coating performance The ES80A-JCXC can be used for overmolding with plastics such as PP and PE, enhancing product diversity and expanding its range of applications.

III. Application Cases

Application Background In new product development, customers require a material for soft-gel wire conduits that boasts excellent resilience and a pleasant tactile feel, while also meeting the requirements for extrusion molding.

Case Description To meet customer requirements, we selected ES80A-JCXC as the material for the wire duct. During the development process, we encountered the following challenges and corresponding solutions:

  1. Antistatic requirements Initially, the customer requested that the material possess antistatic properties with a resistivity ranging between 10⁷ and 10⁹ ohms. However, during the pilot production phase, we discovered that when using materials such as TA75A-JD/EN80D-JD, the extruded surface developed pinholes, failing to meet the quality requirements. Therefore, we decided to remove the antistatic requirement and reselect the material.
  2. Material Selection After removing the antistatic requirement, we tested several materials, including EN75A-YC-2, D70BT15, and ES60A-MW-6. Although these materials performed well in extrusion molding, they were too soft when assembled into the slot, failing to meet the product’s strength requirements. When we tried using ES85A-MW-6, we found that the extruded dimensions were uneven; therefore, we ruled out this material as well. In the end, the customer chose. ES80A-JCXC The material's performance meets the requirements.

IV. Conclusion

Through this TPE material development case, we have successfully applied ES80A-JCXC to the production of soft-gel wire conduits. This material not only meets the customer’s performance requirements but also enhances both product quality and production efficiency. At the same time, we have accumulated extensive experience in material selection and molding processes, providing strong support for future product development.
