Understanding the Density Variations of TPE Materials

Understanding the Density Variations of TPE Materials:

1. TPE materials can contain fillers or be filler-free. They can be manufactured using domestic or imported raw materials, which can affect the density. Typically, the density ranges from 0.92 to 0.98, though there are heavier varieties with densities slightly above 1.0.

2. Materials with lower density tend to have a higher content of SEBS/SBS base materials, which improves their performance. Consequently, TPE materials with lower densities are usually more expensive.

3. TPE raw materials are elastic particles compounded from SEBS base materials and other mixtures. Higher density indicates more filler content and less SEBS material used, resulting in lower prices. In the market, there are materials available for as low as 10 RMB per KG, but cheaper materials may not meet your product's requirements. Choose carefully and consider consulting reputable TPE manufacturers.
